In a nutshell:

Located 11 km from Hobart city, it is not exactly a heritage building or colonial artefact, but this renowned factory was built by the Cadbury family as part of their global expansion. Very good employers, they built whole housing estates with large parks for their workers. The products are famous worldwide and are household names in all English speaking countries.

Guided tours of the factory are conducted each weekday throughout the year, except over the Christmas holidays. Tours must be booked well in advance.The cost of a tour itself is $12.50 but you can choose from a range of coach tours or ferry cruises that include the Cadbury tour.

After the tour, you are permitted to purchase products from their shop at discounted prices.




IMPORTANT: There are many of stairs to be climbed on the factory tour and fully enclosed shoes MUST be worn.
